Bright Ideas Group participated in an agency review by the Macon-Bibb County CVB in the Fall of 1999. Over 12 regional and local advertising agencies were considered. Bright Ideas Group was awarded the contract after presenting a new campaign featuring “Song & Soul of the South.” The campaign elements were developed and launched in January 2000. The campaign has received over thirty awards for advertising excellence and international recognition for its first website, also designed by Bright Ideas Group. In addition, market research studies following the campaign launch showed a phenomenal increase in tourism conversion rates, growing from 22% to an estimated 50% in only six months. Also, the Southeast Tourism Society Travel College has included this campaign as a role model in classes taught to destination/tourism marketing professionals. We continue to develop new concepts and integrated campaigns for the Macon CVB.
